AMERICAN AF DUMPSTERS FOUNDER

Hey folks,

It’s Josh Roman here – the owner and operator of American AF Dumpsters. The guy that drives that big American Flag wrapped truck around town! But let me take you back a bit. Before I ever drove a dumpster truck, I drove a limousine. 

Way back in 2007, I dove headfirst into the American Dream, starting "Heaven on Wheels", a limo service right in the heart of Dallas. For years, we cruised along, making special moments even more memorable for folks by providing some of the most exotic and unique limousines around. Then 2020 hit, and like a lot of businesses, my slice of the “American Dream” felt like it was slipping away into a nightmare. As the world seemed to stop spinning, I worried that the wheels on our limos would too. COVID shook us to the core, making me wonder if my journey was coming to an end. 

But thankfully, this IS America – the land of opportunity. Where the spirit of resilience and innovation not only runs deep…it’s rewarded. I realized something: if I had spent over a decade in the limo service, transporting the most precious cargo there is - people, then surely I could handle the responsibility of transporting waste. But what kind of psycho starts a business in the middle of a pandemic? Yep, this guy! So that’s exactly what I did. I decided to throw the greatest hail mary I could come up with. The result? My greatest comeback…American AF Dumpsters. Oh, and Heaven On Wheels recovered! What a blessing that was.

When the going got tough, I reminded myself many times, "You've risen to challenges before... this is just another one." Fueled by determination and a dash of the American spirit I transformed a humble 14-foot cargo trailer into our very first dumpster. Remarkably, less than three hours after getting that trailer, a Craigslist ad brought in our first customer. Once these wheels started turning, they never stopped, but it was up to me to keep that momentum going. I won't pretend it was all smooth sailing; there were storms to weather. But that American spirit? It's about braving those storms, looking adversity in the eye, and saying, "Is that all you've got?" 

Fast forward to today: what started as a humble solution has grown into a fleet of robust trucks hauling 15, 20, 25, and 30 yard roll-off dumpsters. We've proudly served over 500+ residential and commercial clients in the Dallas area and surrounding regions. We're not just a business; we're a testament to the American spirit of overcoming and adapting. I'd love the chance to prove the quality of our service to you next. Who knows?
